Our Society is only as strong as the community that holds it up. Together, we can do more than we can do alone. Let's bring our abilities and passions together to affect real change.

THE NEUROSURGICAL SOCIETY OF THE VIRGINIAS

There are many ways to join us and support our mission. Contact us to find out  more about volunteer opportunities and ways that you can get our message to your friends and colleagues.

Active Membership 

Open to neurosurgeons in Virginia, West Virginia, and any contiguous region around these states.  An Active Member must be a board eligible or board certified physician whose primary focus is neurosurgery and who pays societies annual dues ($100).  Benefits of active membership include:

  • Participate  and vote in the annual business meeting

  • Join committees to further our common goals

  • Receive communication regarding regional health care policies and advocacy events

Senior Membership 

Open to neurosurgeons who previously met criteria for Active Membership but no longer work in the field of neurosurgery. Senior Members are exempt from annual dues and receive a discount to attend the annual meeting.

Associate Membership

Open to any health care provider not otherwise eligible to be a member of the Society, but who has professional interests aligned with neurological surgery in Virginia, West Virginia, or the contiguous regions around these states.  Associate Members pay annual dues ($50 for physicians and $25 for non-physicians) and receive a discount to attend the annual meeting.  Associate members are non-voting members of the Society.

Medical Students/Resident/Fellow Membership

Open to any Intern, resident, or fellow currently in training for neurosurgery at an accredited program in Virginia, West Virginia, or the contiguous regions around these states.  Resident Members are exempt from annual dues and meeting registration fees and are non-voting members of the Society.

Registration for the Meeting includes the Membership Fee. If you would like to register for the meeting, please proceed to the meeting registration and do not submit a membership request.
